Herefords are known for there good temper, which makes them easier to work with and also safer.
Low imputs high return:
As the breed will forge they can live out on the grass meaning less finacial inputs than other breeds. With there thick coats they can also cope with extreme cold and shed there coats for warmer climates make them very durible.
Ease of carving:
Alot of dairy farmers like to use a Hereford bull as they are primarily easy calvers, meaning less vet bills for the farmer.
Unlike alot of breeds a Hereford bull can run out on a footpath with the cows.
